Peace March, 03rd Dec, 2008'....

It was great to see thousands of Mumbaikars assemble at the Gateway of India on the 03rd December to protest against the government and the politicians. In all the years gone by the people have taken what came their way and moved on without a care, now with these instances happening regularly the anger and disappointment of the people has risen . Lets hope that these emotions run deep and that the spirit only rises and not get subdued with time.
The placards and posters show what the people think and how upset they are over the recent attack, however many people forgot that it was meant to be a march for peace and were screaming stupid slogans, getting agitated and ruining the whole purpose.

By 1900 hrs IST the crowd had mutated into a mob of angry screaming people which was then pretty uncontrollable. The police and RAF stationed in this vicinity were not prepared for any kind of situation which might have risen in the event of the crowd panicking and causing a huge stampede, which would have resulted with numerous casualties. There were no ambulances on standby nor was there any sort of assurance that things would not blow out of proportion should anything have happened. All it would have taken was someone to set off a few large fire crackers and the crowd would have been stampeded. Fortunately no such thing happened however many people abandoned the scene and and headed for the refuge that cafe Leopold and cafe Mondigars had to offer.

Lets hope that the people don't just forget and move on in time and keep fighting for our rights as citizens of Mumbai and more importantly, citizens of India.

The Professionals Party of India

"The educated middle class professional Indians are on the fringe of the political system – faceless, powerless and vastly outnumbered. To become part of the political process that will give them an opportunity to govern, they must set out an agenda of what they will accomplish, should they get elected.
The Professionals Party of India is precisely the platform wherein Professionals can come together and take leadership positions in the governance of India.
That agenda is this Manifesto of the Professionals Party of India."
